Real Madrid have completed the signing of RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomandé, sources have confirmed, with the Ivorian international expected to travel to Spain imminently to finalise the move.
The 19-year-old has agreed a five-year contract that will keep him at the Bernabéu until June 2031. He is scheduled to undergo a medical examination next week before putting pen to paper.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid and Leipzig reached a principle agreement on Sunday afternoon before completing the formalities later that evening. The deal is understood to be worth approximately €120 million, including performance related add-ons.
Madrid’s late intervention proved decisive, allowing the Spanish club to move ahead of Paris Saint-Germain despite a final approach from PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. The French champions ultimately withdrew from the race, unwilling to meet Leipzig’s valuation.
