Volta Chiefs Commend Government for Equitable Development Projects.

The Volta Regional House of Chiefs has commended the government for ensuring that the region receives its fair share of national development projects.

The commendation was made when the House, led by its President, Togbe Tepre Hodo, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, in Accra.

The chiefs expressed appreciation for ongoing development projects in the Volta Region, particularly road and other infrastructure projects.

They also encouraged the Foreign Affairs Minister to remain focused on advancing Ghana’s interests on the international stage and not be discouraged by challenges in the discharge of his duties.

Togbe Tepre Hodo, however, noted that more could be done to transform the Volta Region and position it as the “oxygen city” of Ghana.

He called for continued attention to the region’s development needs to unlock its full economic and social potential.

Ablakwa Assures Chiefs

Responding to the chiefs, Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa expressed profound gratitude for their unwavering support.

He assured the House that, in his capacity as Foreign Affairs Minister, he would continue to uphold and advance Ghana’s interests, both locally and on the international stage.

The Minister said he remained committed to serving the national interest and strengthening Ghana’s position and image in the international community.
