Feedback Africa Limited has ranked the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, as the Best Performing Minister for 2025 in its Citizens’ Perception Survey Report on Governance and Politics.
The findings were presented by the Team Lead of Feedback Africa, Professor Smart Sarpong.
According to the survey, the ranking is based on Mr. Opoku’s role in the significant reduction in food inflation, the implementation of the Feed Ghana Programme, the Akokor Nketenkete initiative, and sustained support for farmers through fertiliser distribution.
The report also highlighted the government’s policy of purchasing farm produce, such as rice and beans, directly from farmers as a major contributor to improved agricultural outcomes and enhanced farmer welfare.
Professor Sarpong further noted that President John Dramani Mahama’s performance, at the individual level, has surpassed the overall performance of the government within its first year in office.
