The Member of Parliament for Nkwanta South, Hon. Geoffrey Kini, has intensified efforts to address the perennial water scarcity affecting communities across the constituency.
As part of his development agenda, the MP has commissioned a specialised drilling team to undertake the installation of four new mechanised water boreholes in areas identified as having significant water needs.
The beneficiary communities include the Nkwanta Agric Area, Dufrumkpa, the vicinity of the Brewaniase New Police Station, and Bakamba.
The initiative is expected to provide sustainable and reliable access to clean and potable water for hundreds of residents who have historically faced difficulties accessing water for their daily needs.

Residents in the beneficiary communities have welcomed the project, describing it as a significant intervention that will improve their quality of life.
They noted that access to water within their communities would reduce the need to travel long distances to obtain the essential commodity.
Community members also commended the MP for responding to their concerns, describing the project as a long-term investment in the health and wellbeing of residents.
The borehole project forms part of Hon. Geoffrey Kini’s broader development efforts, with a focus on providing essential infrastructure and improving access to basic services across the Nkwanta South Municipality.
As the technical teams continue with the drilling and installation works, attention will be placed on ensuring that the facilities become fully operational and provide reliable water services to the beneficiary communities.
The initiative is expected to contribute to the MP’s broader objective of providing “Water for the People” and promoting sustainable development across the constituency.
