Don’t try anything funny else we’ll face you squarely – Pablo warns EC, Police

National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, George Opare Addo has served notice the youth will resist any attempt to subvert their will.

George Opare Addo who directed his caution to the Electoral Commission said no attempts should be made on election day to mar the process.

“Woe to anyone, born of a woman who will go to the polling station and do anything untoward, we will face them squarely” he warned.

He assured that the youth were ready to take their destinies into their own hands regardless the outcome.

“We protected the ballot in Assin North and we’ll protect the ballot at the peril of our lives on 7th December” he assured.

“We are urging all of you to mobilise yourself and come and volunteer and come and fight for the salvation of our country and on 7th December let’s deliver a resounding victory to to John Mahama, Prof Naana Opoku Agyeman, Asiedu Nketia but to you as a Ghana because the future belongs to you” he charged.

George Opare Addo further served notice to the Inspector General of Police and the Police administration, to stop the secret recruitments into the service else the NDC may be forced to besiege such centers.

“To the police IGP, we are aware of the secret recruitment that is on going and I am telling the police force as the leader of the biggest political party that if they continue, we will mobile young people to where they are recruiting because every Ghanaian is entitled to be recruited into the police service” he stressed.

Henry Quartey sent to Interior Min. to cause violence during elections – Opare Addo on reshuffle

The National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo, has said the reshuffle made by President Nana Akufo-Addo is to ensure that Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia succeed him after the 2024 elections.

Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, together with Road Minister Kwasi Amoako-Atta and Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman Manu were relieved of their duties in the cabinet shake-up announced on February 14, 2024

Dr Okoe Boye replaced Agyeman Manu as Health Minister and Henry Quartey, Greater Accra Minister,  was reassigned to the Interior Ministry.

Speaking on Inside Politics on TV XYZ, the youth leader stated that there was some motive behind the shake-up to get some persons to execute certain tasks through foul means during the December polls to get Akufo-Addo’s protege, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to continue his legacy.

“Henry Quartey, for instance,  who has been reassigned to the Interior Ministry signifies that clearly Akufo-Addo is sending a message to you and I that he intends to be violent during the elections,” he stated.

He continued, “Everyone knows Henry Quartey and how he behaves. He was the Deputy Minister for Interior when those rascals came to commit violence at Ayawaso West Wuogon, and Henry Quartey featured prominently in that.”

To him, Ghanaians will vote the NDC and John Mahama back to power but the NPP is bent on holding on to power by causing pockets of  violence during the polls.

Opare Addo further cautioned the operatives who will be used by the NPP to instigate violence that the NDC is adequately prepared to face them squarely to safeguard the votes of Ghanaians.

“I know the reshuffle was done to achieve that but I am telling you that if they touch one, we will touch 4.  They should not try because what happened in 2020 will not happen and I can assure you that,” Opare Addo told host Mugabe Maase.
