Ludwig Teye Totimeh has been unanimously confirmed as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Tema West Municipal Assembly (TWMA) in the Greater Accra Region.
He was sworn in by Hon. Linda Akweley Ocloo, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, after receiving Sixteen (16) YES votes of the total votes cast by Assembly Members, securing hundred percent.
Led by Hon. Ocloo, Mr. Ludwig Totimeh took the oath of office, the oath of allegiance, and the oath of secrecy while pledging to serve with integrity.
Mr. Totimeh’s confirmation, unlike some other assemblies, was smooth as all the Assembly Members, including Government Appointees, were clad in all white attire during the voting process.
The new MCE, in an interview with XYZ News’s Akora Kofi Darko expressed gratitude to President Mahama for nominating him to the high office and the Assembly Members for overwhelmingly endorsing his appointment.
He assured the Assembly of making sure that decisions taken at the Assembly would be progress-oriented.
He appealed to the Assembly Members and the staff of the assembly to give him their maximum support and cooperation to ensure the success of her tenure of office.
Mr. Ludwig Teye Totimeh, who doubles as the Constituency Deputy Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Tema West said he will work with the Assembly and unit committee members to bring development to the people.
On her side, the Greater Regional minister, Madam Linda Akweley Ocloo, expressed gratitude to the Assembly Members for making the exercise a smooth one.
She stressed that the endorsement would set the Assembly’s activities on the right path for rapid development.
She said the confirmation of Mr. Ludwig Totimeh would speed up the developmental agenda of the John Mahama Government.
