Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artist IWAN, now known as IWAN Suhuyini, has lamented that the spotlight has shifted away from his brand.
In an interview on XZONE on TV XYZ, IWAN told host Afia Owusu that the media has stopped playing his songs.
Explaining the cause of his sudden decline, the “Who’s Bad” hitmaker revealed that his old management, along with certain people, circumstances, and conditions, are the reasons.
“In the past, a lot has been going on, and I know the spotlight has been taken off the brand IWAN because of certain circumstances, conditions around, and certain people involved,” he said.
He encourages himself by saying that those behind his predicament are not going to stay in the industry for long because there are new faces who have realized how good and solid his music and production are.
“I don’t think that will be for long; certain individuals who were doing that are not going to stay in the industry forever. We have new faces, and they get to realize what IWAN is doing, the music I’m producing, the sense behind it, and why it shouldn’t be played,” he emphasized.
